As one of the largest chapters of the nationwide Finlandia Foundation, the Seattle Chapter actively pursues objectives that have been the core of the chapter since its establishment in 1968 by providing Finnish language classes, presenting Finnish movies, organizing a variety of events throughout the year such as the Finnish Independence Day Dinner and Dance, and more!

Celebrating Finland’s Centenary

In 2017 Finland is celebrating its 100th year of independence. The theme of the centenary celebration year is YhdessäTogether, and we are fortunate to have many Finnish-American and Nordic organizations in the Pacific Northwest that are working together to create memorable events throughout the year to celebrate Finland’s milestone.
