As one of the largest chapters of the nationwide Finlandia Foundation, the Seattle Chapter actively pursues objectives that have been the core of the chapter since its establishment in 1968 by providing Finnish language classes, presenting Finnish movies, organizing a variety of events throughout the year such as the Finnish Independence Day Dinner and Dance, and more!


Language classes re-start April 8th

Spring language classes start during the week of April 8th. Beginner classes will meet on Mondays 5:30 PM – 7 PM (pacific time) and Intermediate classes will meet on Thursdays 5:30 PM – 7 PM. Lessons are online on Zoom.

Grants and Scholarships

Finlandia Foundation Seattle Chapter announces the availability of up to $1,000 in scholarships or grants for projects related to Finland. Deadline for applications is April 1, 2024. See the Grants and Scholarships page for further details.


Annual Meeting on Wednesday April 24th

The FFSC Annual Meeting will be held on Wednesday April 24th at 6:30 PM at the Finnish Lutheran Church in Seattle.


Tuomo & Markus at National Nordic Museum June 21st

Helsinki, Finland-based indie folk band Tuomo & Markus will perform at the National Nordic Museum on Friday June 21st.
