Finlandia Foundation celebrates the 150th anniversary of the birth of the Finnish composer Jean Sibelius with a concert by pianist Ruusamari Teppo (great-granddaughter of the composer) and Finnish cellist Jussi Makkonen.
Program selections on the all-Sibelius performance include Drömmen (Dream) op. 13/5; Impromptu op. 5/5; Karelia-suite op. 11, Arr. Matti Makkonen; Valse triste Op. 44; Romance op. 24/9; Granen (Spruce) op. 75/5; Souvenir op. 99/3; The Tempest op. 109/2, Arr. Jussi Jalas; Finlandia op. 26/7, Arr. Matti Makkonen.
