Finnish cellist Jussi Makkonen and pianist Nazig Azezian perform a spectacular multimedia production that evokes the Finnish natural world that inspired Jean Sibelius. Through music, video, sound and light, audiences are transported to the floral splendor of the garden at Ainola, the magical moss forest at dusk, and the top of the impressive Koli in the midst of a thunderstorm.

The multimedia program is a dramatic experience. Sibelius compelling music, the narration and the videos filmed for the concert bring nature, as seen by the composer, palpably close to the listener.

PLEASE NOTE! There will be a pre-concert lecture starting at 6 PM. at the Nickerson Studios.

TICKETS: $20, $10 for students. Tickets can be purchased at the door or in advance from http://sibeliusinspiration.brownpapertickets.com/

PARKING: Parking is free at the corner of W. Nickerson St. & 3rd Ave W; and across the Nickerson Hall on W. Nickerson Street.

Jussi Makkonen and Nazig Azezian are sponsored by Finlandia Foundation National and its Finland 100 Music Program, celebrating the 2017 centennial of Finlands Declaration of Independence.
