North Stars Orchestra presents Vappu!

North Stars Orchestra and Conductor Sharyn Peterson invite you to a special spring concert celebration, featuring music of the Nordic countries! Featuring members of the Starry Night Orchestra and the Mt. Baker/Fidalgo Youth Symphonies, this ensemble is sure to delight audiences of all ages.
This will be a multimedia concert! Beautiful scenes from all of the Nordic countries will be displayed on screen during music of each Nordic country.
During the “TROLL” piece by Phillip Peterson, a fanciful display of trolls will appear, illustrating the musical story. https://www.phillip-peterson.com/
Our special guest artist, Marja Kaisla, trained at Sibelius Academy of Helsinki Finland, will perform the monumental piano solo by Beethoven: the Emperor Concerto! http://www.marjakaisla.org/
Also appearing is the Norwegian Male Chorus.
This afternoon performance coincides with International Museum Day and includes COMPLIMENTARY admission to the Museum (special exhibition surcharge still applies).
